Legal Notice for bids

The Sullivan Township Board of Trustees, Ashland County Ohio will be receiving sealed bids for seal coating up to 8 miles of various roads within the township. All prices to include material, sweeping, loading stone and trucking stone, applying oil, and rolling of stone the entire width with one pass up to 20 feet and price of application with Sullivan Township providing the limestone #8, #57 that is stockpiled at the township garage.

Liquids: MC-3000, MC-70 bids shall be by the gallon of liquid applied with stone. Bids will be taken until 6:30pm, MAY 5, 2025, at which time the bids will be opened at a regular meeting in the township community room at 6:30pm. The successful bidder will be required to carry Worker's Compensation coverage and provide the evidence of the coverage to the township trustees upon request. The successful bidder will be required to pay prevailing wages and provide evidence of this to the township trustees upon request. The successful bidder shall show proof of appropriate insurance, (liability insurance minimum $4 million) with Sullivan Township named as the Certificate Holder and have a price guarantee for the 2025 application season. A bid bond, in an amount of 5% of the total bid shall be submitted. In lieu of a bond, a certified check on a solvent bank account will be accepted. Each bid shall contain the full name and contact information of each company submitting the bid. The trustees reserve the right to reject any/or all bids.

Seal Coat Bids should be clearly marked on the submitted envelope “Seal Coat Bids”. All work must be completed by September 5, 2025.
